The software engineering function in Sri Lanka is relatively new and rapidly growing. Our engineers:
- Contribute to building and scaling Uzabase's platforms (notably Speeda Edge).
- Implement new features and improvements for data-intensive software projects.
- Develop data pipelines that process various data types (financial, news, etc.) for downstream use by analysts and clients.
- Collaborate with global colleagues to integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into products.

Tools and Technologies
Programming Languages
We primarily leverage a modern tech stack, including Kotlin, Spring, JavaScript, React, Next.js, TypeScript, Go, and HTMX, alongside robust database solutions and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP
Modern Engineering Practices
Follow modern engineering practices such as containerization (Docker), version control (Git/GitHub), and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
Agile Workflows
Engage in agile workflows and async communication to coordinate with counterparts in Japan, the US, and elsewhere.

Engineers in Colombo typically work as part of globally distributed Agile teams, collaborating with colleagues across different time zones and cultures.
